Spring is in the air

By

It's only three weeks until the clocks change into Springtime, already we can see the signs that brighter days are coming. The swathes of white in the hedgerow from the snowdrops, the pale yellows of the early primroses and the blousy, bold yellows from the early daffodils, certainly put a smile on our faces.

In the UK, Mother's day falls on the 19th of March and our attention turns to all those hard-working mums who need a treat. Whether you fancy booking mum a weekend away at any of our cottages, treating her to a cream tea or a pamper session at the local spa or all three, we are here to help with inspiration.

It is still a little early for visiting our favourite local gardens as they are closed until April. But, if you fancy an early peek at the spring flower collection at Great Dixter, they are open the weekend of the 4th of March, and we can highly recommend a visit.

You will have to wait a little longer if your mum is a tulip fan, as the Pashley Manor Gardens tulip festival does not start until the 19th of April although you can purchase tickets now for the event.

We are spoilt for choice with cafes in Rye and Hastings that offer fabulous cream teas. Our favourites are Haydens, The Mermaid Street Cafe and Cobbles Tea Room in Rye. In Hastings, we love Hanuska Coffee House and Ladle Hastings both on George street in the Old Town.

Did you know we can arrange yoga classes at our holiday properties, spa sessions, and caterers? For the more adventurous mums, a kite surfing lesson or Ebike hire? We can help organise wine tours of the local vineyards and arrange for flowers to be delivered by our local florist to make any day special. Look out for the March discounts on our offer page at a selection of our holiday cottages.

So whatever you are up to this March, remember we are here to help make your trip extra special in whatever way we can and share our 26 years of local knowledge so that you can live like a local and enjoy all the secrets to get the best from your stay.
