About this listing

Seaview is a 2 bedroom apartment in the citadel in Rye, East Sussex, with stunning views across the Romney Marsh towards the sea

Hidden along one of Rye’s secret alley ways, or as the locals like to say ‘twitten’, Seaview is a unique two bedroom holiday cottage in the heart of old Rye. Finished to a high standard with lots of artistic touches due to the fact that one of the owners is an artist, the ever changing view from the windows, is nature’s canvas but the walls are adorned with many unusual artworks too.

You enter the apartment through a communal door and turn immediately right for your front door. You arrive into the kitchen area of the open plan living space, a bright bold space with splashes of red and copper. The kitchen is well equipped and you have a gas hob and electric oven, large American style fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and an 8 place setting dishwasher, for all your holiday needs. There is sofa seating and chairs. A dining table and chairs sits in the bay window, so you can enjoy the view at every meal time. Art work adorns the walls and quirky touches can be found around the apartment, adding to its unique charm. The views across the Romney marsh towards the river are stunning and a great place to watch the ever changing seasons. There is Wifi throughout the apartment and fast enough to stream from your tablets or laptops. Seaview does not have a TV as the owners would rather guests enjoy the views and the relaxing ambiance of the property.

Stairs lead up to the first floor double bedroom with amazing views and plenty of holiday reading material if you forget a book. The family bathroom with roll top bath, separate large shower cubicle and stained glass window are a relaxing place to chill after a long day.

Stairs lead up to the attic double bedroom and here you are spoilt with views to the front and back. Through the velux window at the front enjoy views of the famous 12th century St Mary’s Church tower and to the rear more marsh and river views.

Seaview has no outside space but as you are in the centre of Rye, you are never far from a green space or a pub garden.

As with many old properties in Rye, the stairs are a little narrow and steep so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues and there is a height restriction when entering & departing the attic bedroom.
