  • We were welcome with a very own 'Crown Cottage chocolate" and a bottle of wine ! Crown cottage sits perfectly in the centre of things & happenings. Its next door to the quaint and very interesting Rye Castle Museum. Up the road is St Mary's Church & Ypres Tower. Its 5 mins walk to Mermaid road with its pretty cobbled walk by cottages. We had awesome steak sandwich at The Union House just few steps away. Regular tea breaks at the ;Cozy tea room' which serves freshly baked scones. The cottage is very well kept, clean and spacious. The backyard terrace serves as a cozy hangout. We enjoyed our card game in the man-cave at the basement. Bathroom is spacious, sweetly decorated with 'by the sea' theme. A welcome company ;) Bedrooms are cozy with comfy beds and tidy built-in wardrobes. Kitchen fully equipped. Vases of fresh flowers grace the rooms, give the cottage its very own homely feeling. Host Jacqui and owner Nick are very attentive to guests requests and response very quickly. All too soon, it’s time to leave. We've had a perfect stay at Crown Cottage. 5 STARS

  • Very homely & comfortable. Wine, chocolate, biscuits, fresh flowers, milk all much appreciated extras.
